Also known as:
Xiao Peng.
Born in 1962. Shifu Peng Han Ping's very first gong fu master was shifu Liu Yun Qiao (Ba Ji Quan), but he later changed to Eight Steps Mantis under shifu Wei Xiao Tang, until shifu Wei died five years later.
He also studied Hard Mantis (Mei Hua /Mi Men Tang Lang) under various sources.
He also learned and taught Chen Tai Ji Quan, Hong Jia (who learnt under shifu Chang Ke Jih), and was probably the last (and informal) student of Eagle Claw shifu Chung Fu Sheng.
Although he only formally studied 8-step mantis for 5 years, his unending quest for knowledge and constant training took his understanding and performance to a surprisingly high level.
The Czech/Slovak martial arts magazine "Budo" published two interviews with him in 1997 and 1998.
Shifu Peng Han Ping taught in Taipei and produced many quality students. Later, he visited the USA and opened a school in California. He demonstrated 3-section staff in the masters' demo in the 1991 Tat Mau Wong tournament.
Shifu Peng Han Ping went back to Taiwan but he passed away in a single vehicle motorcycle crash in July 1999. He was late for a meeting and driving too fast and failed to make a turn (no alcohol was involved).
