Shifu John Jairo Lopera was born in Colombia in 1960 y started training traditional Chinese Martial arts in 1977. Later he studied tang lang quan under shifu Yonny Yuma Torres.
Currently teaches gong fu and tai ji quan at the National Colombian Unversity at Medellin.
He is also Fitness Aerobics Instructor.
In 2000 shifu John Jairo Lopera travelled to Spain to train under shifu Su Yu Zhang.
