Praying Mantis Shifu

Shifu David Schenk started studying Chinese martial arts in 1972. Initially he learned Shaolin Long Fist but changed to praying mantis under shifu Yang Xiao Dong in 1982.
Shifu David Schenk became shifu Yang Xiao Dong's disciple in a closed door (not open to the public or other students) ceremony in 1989.
Shifu David Schenk studied several tang lang quan styles inlcluding Ba Bu Tang Lang Quan, Mei Hua Tang Lang Quan and Liu He Tang Lang Quan (plus other Wu Tang styles) and used to run a school in Ohio (USA).
Shifu David Schenk passed away from cancer in 2007.
