Shifu Dale Herring began his martial arts training at the age of 9 in the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do. In 1992 shifu Dale discovered the Wah Lum Kung Fu School of Merritt Island and he started training under shifu Tom Haase.
After two years training he decided to take his skills to the next level and become a professional student. The professional student program required a minimum of 40 hours a week training at the school and learning the intricate details about the Wah Lum style.
Sifu Dale�s training has also included training in the traditional art of Lion Dance. Over the years, he has performed numerous Lion Dances, including performances at Grand Openings, Chinese New Year Celebrations, Christmas Parades, etc.
Furthermore, Sifu Dale Herring has also trained under some of the most famous masters from China and the U.S.A., such as, his shi gung shifu Chan Poi, the late shifu Lee Koon Hung, etc.
He is currently enrolled at the University of Florida and teaches Hua Lin Tang Lang in Gainesville, Florida (USA).
