His name is also romanized as:
Vincent Guo / Kuo Chin Chen / Chen Kuo Qing / Chen Kao Chiu / Chen Kao Chin / Chen Gao Qing.
Shifu Guo Qing Chen started his tang lang quan training under shifu Wang Song Ting (Chang Quan Tang Lang Quan) until his death in 1964.
Shifu Guo Qing Chen studied under shifu Wei Xiao Tang between 1972 and 1979.
In the beginning, he was not accepted as a formal student because shifu Wei Xiao Tang wanted no more students. Therefore shifu Guo Qing Chen attended the classes but he was not recognized as a student.
After shifu Wei Xiao Tang became ill and was hospitalized (around 1974-1975) shifu Guo Qing Chen and four other shifu Wei Xiao Tang's students rotated at his bedside watching over shifu Wei Xiao Tang everyday all day until he recovered.
Upon his recovery, shifu Wei Xiao Tang said that even though he had no children/sons, these five men were like sons to him and accepted this five students as "formal students".
Shifu Guo Qing Chen was one of the top students under shifu Wei Xiao Tang and he learnt all 6 chapters of Ba Bu Tang Lang Quan Zhai Yao form.
When shifu Wei Xiao Tang passed away shifu Guo Qing Chen took over teaching Ba Bu Tang Lang Quan classes in Taiwan.
Shifu Guo Qing Chen has visited shifu Zhang Jia Huang (his gong-fu brother) in the USA and has taught some classes to shifu Zhang Jia Huang's American students.
Years later, in 2004 shifu Guo Qing Chen visited the USA and attended a martial arts tournament in Akron, Ohio (USA) were he demonstrated Xing Yi Quan.
In 2004 I heard rumors that shifu Guo Qing Chen relocated to New York (USA), but I was unable to confirm.
