| Marilyn Manson's disdain for Christianity is no secret. The turn of events that led to this passionate hate is fortold in this autobiography "The Long Hard Road out of Hell." How could a loving religion such as Christianity be hated whereas Islam is ignored? One must identify the reasoning behind the remarks, and peice together a reasonable explanation of it's realization. To Christians, this is no easy task. There are many paths to the quelling of his agenda - as it effects the population of his targeting. Many Chrisitan parents are having to battle their child's opinions on this matter, and the perspective of the child is never taken. In fact, the entire blame should be layed upon the Christian population, it's methods, foundations, reactions, and the adult population in general. Christians that cast blame to worldy mediums : such as the music, television, or other media are sidestepping the issue at hand. They must realize the physics of 'cause and effect' and take the issue to heart. The first step would be to understand their antagonist. The ignorance of obliviousness is portrayed by their inability to ultimately comprehend their own failures. Marilyn Manson was created by America, and America is quick to cast him aside. I am not raising Marilyn Manson to an uberhuman level. Marilyn Manson is a product of his own reality, and ours. He's as much human as you or I. The spotlight is on him, and he has put the spotlight on Christianity. And not just Christianity, but the Americanization of Christianity. "Manson is actually doing us a favor. He is a living demonstration of what happens to kids whose parents have no problem laying down the law, but never bother to win over their hearts. Or parents who don't seem have time for their kids during the week, but who always make sure the kids are always trucked off to church or Sunday school each week. Who better to point out it's flaws than someone who has been burned by it's fire? There are important lessons to be learned from Marilyn Manson - Will Christians listen? Marilyn Manson is not the product of the Devil. In fact, quite the opposite. Just as Martin Luther pointed out the evils of Catholosism, Marilyn Manson has pointed out the evils of 'Worldly' Americanized Christianity. The context may not be the same, I know, but the message is delievered just the same.
