As I glanced up at the fairy Atop my Christmas tree I had the strangest feeling That she winked her eye at me
Now, I never have believed before In fairies, elves and things But as I peered more closely This one fluttered tiny wings
Could it be, sweet angel, That what Ive heard is true That you are real, and at Nol Youll grant our wishes too?
If thats a fact, then listen please To what I have to say I only have one dearest wish To travel to L.A.
Id love to meet my hero Hes a very special man Id love to give him one big hug Because Im such a fan
Wed talk about the oranges He grows in his back yard Id admire his smart, blue Porsche Well, that wouldnt be too hard
Wed have a laugh along the way Hes such a funny guy Oh, fairy, listen to my wish Ill be good! Honest! Ill try!
But Im aware, sweet fairy, You cant grant this wish with ease I live six thousand miles away Across the shining seas
So, if it looks impossible I really understand I know its hard to transport me To L.A. from England
And if you cant quite manage it Might I presume to ask That you could please perform for me A slightly simpler task?
This time the wish is not for me Its for Himself so dear I wish him Merry Christmas And the Happiest New Year!
