| On Admirals... |
| Admiral Beckerd A. "Blackbird" Benson: Mansel: One of the most stubborn and wonderfully clever people the UNSF universe has. Blackbird reminds me of Jim. Brungess: Darryl is perhaps right about stubborn part, Blackbird is the leader many other characters look up to. Extremely experienced, THE hero of the UNSF, he is one of my heros honestly speaking. His Friendship, teamwork with his colleague, Captain Matthew "Kain" Cain is perhaps one of the most touching, comical, and remarkable partnerships ever written in the UNSF universe. I think it reflective of the friendship I have with Darryl Mansel. On Blackbird's Tuning Bar: M: - B: -A very hated & a very loved paper weight. The most capable weapon in Psyche warfare. The vain of Adm. Ross's exsistence. It finally plays a roll in Ross's death. It was instrumental in getting Treaties signed. A favorite toy of Kain's, Maki's, & Ordese's. The most Blackbird ever did with it was put it back in its place on his desk and quieting it with a single finger press on it. Admiral Thomas "Lawn Dart" Ross: Mansel: A plain shady character. The one guy people love to hate. I know I do. I just hate writing with him. Brungess: The true snake in the grass. Extremely vindictive, always moves close to people of extreme power or importance. Forever tormented throughout the storyline by Kain & Blackbird's Tuning Bar. Whenever a bad deal or a conspiracy is uncovered, Ross always seems somehow connected to it but never close enough to be associated with it. "AND THATS A FACT! THATS A FACT!" (<- Inside joke.) Admiral Sean Story: Mansel: Possibly the best and most exposed Commander-in-Chief we've written with. It's easy to worm him into almost any type of story because he's involved with so many aspects of UNSF. Brungess: The most used, and outspoken CnC in the story. He is often shadowed by Ross. Part Politician and part Military Leader. He sets the policies of the UNSF and decides whether or not what fights should be commited to and what people should lead them charge into battle. And yes he is extremely easy to write with. Admiral Monica Little: Mansel: Never wrote too much with the Deputy Commander-in-Chief. She just does her work quickly and quietly and stays out of the limelight. Brungess: The most I have written with her is how she is assassinated in the story "All Warriors Fade.." Commodore Matthew "Kain" Cain: Mansel: Brungess: The best right hand man, and sometimes the most serious. He is Blackbird's 2nd concious as well as Closest friend and confidant. He absolutely LOVES women. Torments Ross every chance he gets and is always on hand to recieve beautiful new female ensigns on his ship. It was terribly sad to see him go. Kain is the kinda best friend anyone would want... and sometimes not want. I will miss writing with him. |
