NPPW Network
The First NPPW~1 Channel went on air on and around March 2005, after a long 15 years of waiting, the channel lauched with a big bang, at first our television screens went black for a while and poped back up with the new testcard, after dissappearing again the first ident appeared, this consisted of all the NPPW network titles flashing up and the NPPW~1, the first channels logo appeared on our screen for the first time. The Osh learing channel then appeared with programs for the KS3 and KS4 sats including welsh, english and french programs, like for S4C and Canal Sat. After starting the first program it slipped alittle just like the first welsh program, the tiltes began and then the film spliced itself in half (after sitting in a projecter not played for 15 years im not surprized), anyway they started up again and went live.
The first parts were ok, untill there was a problem..., Oh, no the people in the projection department cried...
...Here you can see the after and before pics to compare where the problem was...
... And about 2.8 Miliseconds earlier, this is what showed up on the monitor, a split, smaller than 0.5 MM thick all the way down the film...GREAT!, the film spun of the projector leaving the channels ident logo in the corner, and the other one, only on screen, immediatly the screen turned live, luckly to a camera pointing to the old LONDON OVER THAMES IDENT CARD, which saved the day (Seen below, captured Afterwards).
LONDON OVER THAMES IDENT.
NPPW Network Teletext
Here are some screenshots taken by my pc's tv capture card of the first and last pages of the NPPW networks teletext. The service never took off so was closed to mark one of the first (and last) cries in the depression that sadly caused a large mess into a company breakdown in 2000. Many people were sacked from jobs and told to take the last Acorn Electons and BBC Micro's to have a piece of the company, later the  NPPW network was taken over by OSHVISION and has been closed since January, all channels have a description of the takeover.
