Welcome to "Listen! Don't Listen To Me. Listen!" a fanlisting for the Butterfly from The Last Unicorn. The Butterfly is simply one of the greatest characters...so whimsical, so full of song, rhyme, and verse. It would seem he knows nothing else but the ways of whimsy and fun, and despite the fact that he can only quote things he's heard, if you listen to his words, he's really very wise. He's the one who first guides The Unicorn (Amaltheia) on her path. He shows her not only what it is she must do to save the other unicorns, but is also the one that initially convinces her to save them. In case you wonder, a fanlisting is a place where the fans of a particular something (anything in whatever world really) meet and greet eachother, and rejoice in fandamonium. Since you've managed to find your way here, my guess is you're a fan of the Butterfly, or went searching for pages about butterflies and manged to find this one, and after perusing through the site I've convinced you of the Butterfly's greatness and you've decided to become a fan, or you left here right after you figured out that this site did indeed have nothing to do with what you were looking for, and so you've left by now. Or, you could have come here on a search for something entirely different, like say, toothbrushes. I once went searching for pictures of toothbrushes and found a picture of a couple of mushrooms.
