Everyone has heard of this site. It is one of the most popular organisations and one of the most effetive. Visit the site, if not to donate then to read. There's a lot of news, current happenning which effect our lives in the more emotional way, and other stuff.

There's a lot more than just "save the world" sort of stuff on this site. There's a kid's corner, and articles and stuff on endangered seas, etc. Visit, it's nice.
It is an independent organisation working for the welfare of animals, animal right, and all. You can adopt pets and "Ask Betty the Bad Dog" and write Essays on a kind person you know, although the last two you can only do if you're kid. But it's nice and very visitable.

If you really wanted to help by donating equipment and money, then go here. This is wonderful foundation.
Oh and people, donate whatever you can, whatever you want to. I have a feeling they'll appreciate it all.
