Weather
It is very hot in the summer but very nice and sunny in the winter. There is hardly any rain.
It never gets very cold here. Ideal period of time to be in Eilat is in the autumn, winter and early spring.
During the winter, while there is snow in many European countries, there is glorious sunshine in Eilat.
Local attractions
There are lovely beaches, water sports, diving (the Red Sea!), underwater observatory, dolphin reef, airodium, shopping centers, cafes & restaurants.

There are lots of hotels, of any category, guesthouses and also a youth hostel.
Transportation
You can arrive by car, bus or airplane. There are regular bus routes from Tel Aviv, Haifa and other main cities in the country. You can also take a flight from Tel Aviv or Haifa.
The two airlines operating these flights are "Arkia" and "Israir". The flight time takes less than an hour.
During the winter season there are direct charter flights from Europe to Eilat.
