| Welcome to the Manipur Field Trip website. The project was supported by a generous grant from the Asian Cultural Council, with additional support from the Manipur State Government and Swarthmore College. Seven artists and arts producers from the U.S. visited Manipur from November 18-27, 2004. This website was prepared to provide information and orientattion to prepare them for their visit. For the less wired Manipuri counterparts, a PowerPoint presentation on the project was made. Details of the Field Trip were added after it was over. However, you will still find some of the original orientation material. The site is now maintained as a documentation of the project. The Project Director bears sole and full resposibility for the contents of this site. |
