FAQ & Info

K, here are some Frequently Asked
Questions, and info on the world of Terre.

About the RPG

What kind of RPG is this?

This is a PBeM RPG, or a Play-By-e-Mail RPG. That means we
act out the stories of our characters over e-mail.

How do you write a story in PBeM format?

That's simple my dear Watson. Heres and example:

Neko ran down the stairs and skidded into her kitchen, barely
holding onto something before she crashed into a wall. She picked
up the phone. "Hello?" Neko gasped.

Then the next person would copy that part to a new email,
add their part in response to mine, and send it to everyone who is
in the story! Neat eh? Just get rid of these, '< >', they are annoying.

Questions/Info 'bout the game

What time setting is Tokyo/Terre in?

Tokyo is set in the year 2002, and not much is different from
present day. Terre is a mystical, medieval setting with all the fun
things from back then in all those cool mythology stories 'bout
dungeons and dragons and knights and unicorns.

What is transportation like in Terre?

Well, they use horses mostly. But there are some spells which
can cause people to fly and transport themselves...

What kind of species are on Terre?

There are elves, tall and nimble creatures with pointed ears
and are usually good at swords and archery. Then there are sprites,
winged creatures that are very fragile and are a bit smaller than regular
people. Then there are Trolls, and they're very ugly, short, and fat.
Druids and Nymphs are very willowly like, and usually have moss growing in
their forest hair. They're very good with magic, but secretive.

What powers do the Serein Sauves have?

Control over certain types of magic usually. Weaponry skills,
and any other spiffy thing you can think of that I'll approve!

What cities/continents/states etc. are there in Terre?

Good question. They are as follows:

Gistar - Continent where the Renaissance, Cheval, and Sorcerer
Xanin live. It's a very big continent, and is much like Earth, except
there are forests, huge lakes, deserts, praries, and any other type
of climate you can think of all on one continent.

Desert - This is where Xanin's castle is, where the Cheval
live, and where are the slaves are. Despite it's name, Desert is
a lush, lively place because of all the work put in by the slaves.

Tonarm - HQ of the Renaissance, a small little village that
supplies everything you need for an adventure.

Epauve - The forbidden forest where the unicorns disappeared to.
No one ventures there for fear on the magic that resides in the trees.

Glasal - Forest where the Nymphs and Druids hide out. Other sparce
breeds of mythological animals live there also, with too few numbers to
be called a population. A few miles from Tonarm.

Latito - Elven Village where Quirien Cuspis was born. Destroyed
by the Cheval when she was young.

Emeraulda - Elven Island where Chandrana was born and
raised. Her village was destroyed, but the island still stands(err, floats.).

Every other city was destroyed under Xanin's command. If your
character was born in a city that was destroyed(very likely), then
tell the name of the city and I'll list it here.

Do the Serein transform into anything?

Yes and no. Once they arrive at Terre, something happens to
the kids, but you'll have to join to find out.

How old/what race is everyone in the RPG

The Serein Sauves should be around 14-19 years old(except ONE character, and she's already taken) and human. The Renaissance members can be any age, just not to young or old, and they can be any race. The Cheval are ageless and can be any race. Xanin is also ageless, but he's human.

What types of names should I use?

For the Serein Sauves, use regular names. If they're Japanese,
then Japanese names. French? French names. But for the people of Terre
you should use exotic names.

Any other questions, e-mail me!
