Amanda Leigh Moore, better known to the pop realm as Mandy Moore was born April 10, 1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire. Shortly after, she moved with her family to Orlando, Florida. When she was nine years old, Mandy discovered her love of singing while attending a summer musical theater camp. She later became known throughout the Orlando area as the "National Anthem Girl" for her regular performances of "The Star Spangled Banner," for all of Orlando's major sports teams and for the Chris Everet Pro-Celebrity Tennis Tournament.

In 1999, Mandy signed a recording contract at Sony 550/Epic Records. Later that year, her debut album 'So Real' appeared worldwide. Mandy earned a platinum debut album with 'So Real,' and went gold with her top ten single, "Candy."

With a Top Ten hit, Mandy found herself touring with the likes of the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync to sold-out shows.

Her sophomore release, "I Wanna Be With You," included four additional brand-new tracks-"Everything My Heart Desires," "Want You Back," "Way to my Heart," and "Your Face." The album also includes the Wade Robson remix of Mandy's first hit "Candy" and four of the most popular cuts from 'So Real.'

Mandy Moore became a National Spokeswoman for Neutrogena products, and is featured in the company's TV and print advertising campaigns. She also partnered with the Wet Seal/Contempo retail chain to promote its Blue Asphalt "Magalog," and Blue Asphalt Clothing Line.

Recently Mandy graced the cover of the May 2001 issue of YM Magazine. She is also returning to MTV for the second year in a row to host her own self-titled show "Mandy"

Mandy lives in Orlando with her parents, Don and Stacy; and brothers Scott (19), and Kyle (14). Her new album is due out June 19th, 2001.
