WebQuest Process
Be sure to follow these steps for a successful WebQuest.  Look back at the project rubric before you begin your writing..
Step 1: Choose a character to discuss from the novel.

Step 2:  Determine the two problems that the character may face throughout the course of the novel.

Step 3:  Research these problems and their relevance to the time period using the Internet, library resources, or the text of
Of Mice and Men.  Take concise notes or use a highlighter to mark relevant information.

Step 4:  Look for information that may be inserted into your writing for parenthetically documented or directly quoted citations.

Step 5:  Brainstorm or freewrite about your character and topic.

Step 6:  Organize your notes into Harvard Outline Format or Sunburst Diagram Format.

Step 7:  Write first rough draft.

Step 8:  Revise and edit your work. Consult your
project rubric.

Step 9:  Write second rough draft.

Step 10:  Revise and edit with a peer editor. Grade your work using the
project rubric.
