| Sometimes when we read the novel, Of Mice and Men, it is hard for us to imagine why characters act, speak, or think in the way that they do. In our research we can find that John Steinbeck presents readers with characters that are real for the time period in which they exist. Researching the problems of the 1930's, allows us to truly put ourselves in the shoes of Steinbeck's very complex characters, giving us insight into the environment that makes them who they are. | ||||||||||||||||
