I am technically challenged. I think I fixed the problem with my blog. (Thank Dad for catching it). Anyways, I just finished teaching my last class here Belgium. Sigh of nostalgia. I will be giving my students their exam next Tuesday, and then my job here is done. Don't worry. I'm here until June 18th. I haven't completely figured out why yet, but oh well.
I find this amazing. When I shared it with my students today, they thought it was funny that I was so impressed. Saturday I went to the city of Tournai (half an hour from here) to see the oldest Belgian belfry (bell tower). We went up in it. AND there was a man whose job it is to actually play the bells. I am totally not kidding. I even made a little video on my camera. I plan on having pictures on my site Wednesday, so check them out! Tournai was a good city. I had a guided tour by a young Belgian named Vincent, who is a classmate of my Estonian friend.
Then Saturday night I went to a short film festival. The films were brilliant. I'm still thinking about them and trying to decide which one I liked best. The last one shown was so clever. It was a computer animated cartoon that included the subtitles in the plot. Serious, the subtitles were a character.
Sunday I got together with some fellow Fulbrighters for a little informal farewell dinner/drinks.
That sums things up. Thursday I'm on my way to Germany. I will be hanging out with my folks and some friends of my father. And I will be eating well, which truly has become one of the highlights, as well as one of the reasons I cannot wait to get home. Food. Anyways, I digress. I wrote this to share that I have remedied my blog problem. I hope that you all are well. Signing out until next time.
