If you look closely at my finger, you may be able to see that I'm holding some sort of insect that is related to the walking sticks that we have at home. I entered the 2nd floor kitchen last night with my friend Mai, who lives on the 2nd floor. In there we found Maxime and Alban and a plastic cage on the table. Mai screamed and moved backwards as I said "oh cool" and proceeded to grab one of the 8 little creatures.

This is how I ended my weekend that didn't go as planned. I didn't go to the Beer Festival because of some miscommunication. I, instead, went to Bruges with Mai and Aphrodite where I had the most expensive waffle of my life (11€50). Sunday I was supposed to go to a movie with a friend. He ditched me, so I went anyways. It was fantastic. It was called Indigenes. It was about the Northern African volunteers who fought for France during WWII. It was very interesting and very sad/moving.

I will not be updating my blog again until I am back in Belgium. Hopefully, I will be seeing the majority of you who read this anyway. I will be arriving in Chicago on Wednesday at 1pm where Mom is going to collect me (Thanks Mom!) and I will be staying until Nov. 7. I will hopefully have a visa at that time (don't worry, I still have not received my FBI report. I have paid for it, but it still hasn't shown up at my apartment. grr). Anyways, watch for updates after Nov. 8th!
