I spent the morning modifying boots for my Gunner Yuna costume. These boots were originally devoid of laces, holes for laces and tongues. This was a ton of work and hammering. But I like them a lot. |

Our first attempt at wings made with tape and ethernet wire. This was doomed from the very beginning. You will of course not that they are stuff (quite deeply) into a garbage bin! |

These wings turned out pretty good! John bent the coathanger wire, I put the mesh and feathers on. The are sooooo neat. What can I cosplay as that would wear feathery wings??? |

Apathyinspades' Diary |

All in all, it was a very productive day. Lunaxtasy worked on Vincent's claw, and made a few prototypes. Us three girls went to Value Village in search of Vincent's black shirt and top, as well as to the mall for black gloves. We bought a few other goodies there, too...tee hee. I added 2 feet in length to Vincent's cape, since we got a bit to happy with the scissors before taking up the collar! We modified the cape slightly, but it's done for the most part. Sakura is totally done, I think. Safielstar dyed her slippers red, as well as a pretty hair accent. I added the collar to her dress, and it went almost too easily! Safielstar took in the sleeves of the dress to give them more "pouf". She also took in her garter, made her necklace and added star decorations. Me and John looked after the wings, getting quite tangled at times. Chris provided invaluable technical support. That is, he found us wire cutters and soda. Pepsi is especially important when having over a large group of self-professed geeks. We ate well, except for the small amounts of teflon coating we consumed with the lasagna. |
