Dyes: 1 @ $1.00; 2 @ $1.77 = $4.54
Nothing ever seems to be the right colour when you buy it, so I recommed custom dyeing.  Also, Yuna's side skirt and ponytail holder are gradient dyed, and there is nowhere in the world that you can buy fabric off the bolt dyed this way.  The hood fabric that I bought is a bit too pink, so I got red dye to tone it down a bit, and hopefully I will arrive at a nice coral colour.  To dye the lace on Yuna's top, I will mix the red and pink together.  The colours are: Rose Pink #7 (Rit), Scarlet #5 (Rit) and Royal Blue #6 (Tintex).  Not all fabrics can be dyed (ex. 100% Polyester), so be careful when you purchase to look at the content.  I found nice lace that was made of Nylon, which will dye nicely.
Threads: 2 @ 1.07; 1 @ 1.44 = $3.58
Well, you've got to hold it all together!  Always use a good thread, none of that 33 cent garbage.  It will a) ruin your machine with lint, and b) break constantly, making your garment significantly less durable.  Missing from the picture are yellow (armlets) and brown (pouch).  The colours are: White #20, Blue #215, and Pink #330, all 100% Polyester by Gutermann.
Skirt
Blue Stretch Knit:$2.98/m @ 0.2m= $0.60
100% Unknown Materials
Hip-tie for side skirt.
This is the crappiest knit fabric I could find.  It is quite see-through and very stretchy.  I thought it would be perfect because it's so thin, so it will work well as a tie.
Ivory Crinkle Cotton: $3.73/m @ 1.5m = $5.59
100% Cotton (Conducive to Dyeing)
Main skirt sections.
I was so happy to find this!  It is gauzy and light, but not without some substance.  The crinkle is georgeous.  Just be sure to use a fine zig-zag stitch, or you will "sew-out" the crinkle effect.
Lace: 2.97/m @ 2m =$5.94
100% Nylon
While this was a bit more expensive that I would like, you have to admit that it is perfect.  It is just slightly ruffled, but won't look silly.  Plus, the shape and colour are just right.  This will attach to the three skirt sections.
Shirt
White Parquet: $8.98/m @ 0.75m = $6.74
100% Mixed Fibres (some Lycra for Stretch)
Main Section of Top
This fabric is just perfect.  It is stretchy, which is very flattering.  It is a sueded fabric, so it is not dull, and also not shiny.  The texture is so soft, with a shiny, smooth underside.
White Underknit: $3.58/m @ 1.00m = $3.58
*comes in 1.5m width, so you need less.
100% Nylon
To Line Main Top Section.
I like to line things with a 4 way stretch underknit for 2 reasons.  The first is that it is more modest and way less see-through, which is a good idea with white.  The second is that it will give form to the top, and help it drape correctly.  This also precludes the use of interfacing, which I detest!
White Rib Knit: $7.78/m @ 0.2m = $1.56
100% Cotton
For Ribbed section of top.
To visualize this fabric, think sweatshirt cuffs and collars.  It is distinctly ribbed.  On Yuna's shirt, it is more like an accordian rib, but I wanted something forgiving and stretchy.
Lace: $1.95/m @ 1.5m = $2.92
100% Unknown
Lace for top.
This is the lace that will be left white for Yuna's top.  Only the pointy parts will be showing, since that section is quite thin.
Lace: $2.25/m @ 1.5m = $3.38
100% Rayon *Has to be dyed, so Rayon is great!
Lace for top.
This lace will be dyed coral along with the hood fabric.  It will tuck just under the lace (above).  I liked the uneven scallop at the edge, but would have preferred a larger repeat to be more like the original.  C'est la vie!
Zipper: 1 @ $1.44
100% Polyester, 10 cm long
Zipper for side of top.
Learn how to sew-in an invisible zipper!  I will put this zipper up the side of the top.  Since the lace does not stretch, I will not be able to pull the top over my head, so a zipper was the way to go.  These zippers are easy to conceal, and can be cut to the length required.
Pink Heavy Knit: $1.66/m @ 2.5m = $4.15
What a Steal!!!
For Hood (and ponytail wrap)
100% Cotton
This is a plain, untextured heavy knit.  The hood will only use about 50 cm of the fabric, with the remainder for the ponytail wrap.  Since the fabric is a bit too pink, I will mellow it out with the Scarlet dye
Satin Cord: $0.54/m @ 0.7m = $0.38
For Hood & Shirt Strings
100% Polyester.
This is a beautifully smooth satin cord that will hold the hood to the shirt, and also hold up the Zanarkand Abes symbol.
Yellow Cord:
For wrap around waist trim.
Not yet purchased.
Pouch
Brown "Suede": $16.18/m @ 0.3m = $4.85
100% Unknown (aka: not suede!)
Main Pouch piece
I knew that I would make this pouch, instead of trying to buy it.  This fabric is a bit too soft and formless though, so it will have to be stabalized with Buckram (thanks, Drea!).  I have never sewn this stuff before, so I made sure that there was enough for some testing.
Suede Lacing: $1.07/m @ 4.0m = $4.29
100% Suede
Pouch trim
I'm not sure yet whether or not I will use this for the trimmings.  I may just cut some strips in the fabric (above).  However, you rarely see this stuff, so it's a good thing to buy "just because".
Armlets/Armbands
Yellow Vinyl: $7.63/m @ 0.25m = $1.91
100% Man-made
Armbands
This is pretty cool stuff.  It is not too stiff, and it is not too soft.  It has a bit of give, too, which is nice. Sewing with vinyl is tough, so make sure to read up on it.
Grommets: 1 pkg @ $2.15
Aluminum
For armlet tie stablizers.
I don't like an unfinished look so I always use grommets when lacing.  The inside of Yuna's armlets are tied, and you need at least 24 grommets to accomplish them.  Also, I will use 2 grommets for the hood strings.
Earring
I will probably wimp-out and buy one of the official earrings off of ebay.  I hate beading, I hate painting beads, and I don't know where to get a tuft of green hair.
Guns
Toy Guns: 2 @ $1.00 = $2.00
What a steal!  These will need some work, mostly bondo and paint.  My bro-in-law Dave is the man for this project.
Ponytail
Coral Knit: Shown in Shirt/Hood Section
For the tail wrap, you need to learn how to braid with 4 pieces.  I will dye the remainder of this fabric scarlet, and cut it into 2 cm strips. I haven't decided what to put inside the wrap yet; it will have to be flexible, light, and strong.
Shorts
Stretch Denim: $3.99/m @0.4m = $1.60
98% Cotton, 2% Lycra (or Spandex)
Shorts
Wow-wee!  These are going to be some short shorts!  I decided on stretch so that I can get into them once they're made!  I don't have a good picture of Yuna's shorts, so I will making them for a later date.  I haven't decided what sorts of closures, trimming or seams to use.
More Pieces to Come: hair for ponytail tuft and tuft wrap (I'll probably use something I have lying around, and gradient dye it to pink)
