Basically, I am an obsessively creative and productive person. I never sit idle, I always have something in my hands to work on. I spend much of my free time on quilting and sewing, as well as on papercrafting and stringcrafting. I have developed skills in sewing, fitting, seaming, hemming, trimming, all knitting including cabling, entrelac. I have competency in pattern design for knitting, patchwork and sewing. My hand quilting skills are improving as I complete more projects without an even-feeder for my baby: The Husqvarna 2000. Many say I am crazy for using this machine. It costs inhuman amounts of money to maintain and isn't even electronic. That's right. It's geared with "seam formers". Maybe I'll post a picture of my baby. I hate cross stitch and anything that comes pre-fabricated, "all you have to add is hours of boredom" type of projects. I prefer to design and execute ideas myself, often with the invaluable advice and colour-sense of my husband. Because most of what I make is for others, the pictures will, at first, be limited. As I run into my projects of yore, I will be sure to document them. Should you have any questions about crafting techniques (minus embroidery, I'm bad at it thus far), email me at [email protected] |
