Ham and Cheese Quiche a la Cindy
Made from combining about 5 recipes plus Sarah's advice.
1 piecrust (premade)
6 eggs
One 1-lb slice of ham, cubed
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 tsp salt (actually, just sprinkle on top to taste)
1/8 tsp pepper (actually, just sprinkle on top to taste)
1/2 to 1 cup Swiss (shredded) [used 1 cup]
2/3 to 1 cup Mozzarella [used 1 cup]
1-1/2 cup milk
Cook ham.
Put ham + onion + cheese in piecrust
Mix eggs + milk + salt + pepper in bowl, pour filling into piecrust until full.
Bake 35-45 minutes at 325 degrees.
CINDY SAYS: I found this to fill about two piecrusts, so I made some quiche w/o crust with the second half since I only had one piecrust.
LYNDA SAYS: I LOVE ham and cheese quiche, and this was delicious. 8) Just the right flavor balance for my taste, not too salty, and just plain good. And the pie tin got recycled as an under-plant tray for Eric and Emily. *grin*
