MARINATED PEPPERS

Ingredients:

 

Peppers

White Vinegar

Water

Salt

Sugar

 

Directions:

 

Bring to a boil two parts water to one part vinegar, to which should be added the amount of salt that one would normally use for pasta.  Add cut peppers to a mason-size jar along with a clove of garlic and anything else you like, e.g., basil, onions, etc…  Pour the boiling water/vinegar solution into the jar containing the peppers.  Immediately add one teaspoon of sugar and one teaspoon of salt.  Cap the jar and invert it.  Let the peppers marinate at least overnight, then serve.
