MONKEY CAKE

Ingredients:

 

2 loaves frozen bread dough, completely thawed

cup sugar

1 tbsp cinnamon

raisins or pecans

1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed

1 ½ sticks margarine

 

Directions:

 

Combine sugar and cinnamon.  Tear a piece of thawed bread dough and roll into a ball (about the size of a walnut).  Roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.  Arrange pieces in the bottom of greased bundt cake pan.  Add raisins or pecans as you layer the pieces of bread dough.  Combine brown sugar and margarine and bring to a boil.  Pour mixture over bread dough (excess syrup will be absorbed in baking).  Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
