Ingredients:
1 lb ground pork
1 small onion
1 clove garlic
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp dry mustard
½ tsp savory
¼ tsp thyme
¼ tsp cloves
1 large potato
½ cup water
¼ to ½ cup bread
crumbs
1 pie shell with top
crust
Directions:
Chop onions,
potatoes, and garlic in a grinder with medium blade. If you don’t have a grinder, try grating the ingredients. Place all ingredients except bread crumbs, in
a large frying pan. Bring to a boil and
cook uncovered at medium heat for 20 minutes.
Remove pan from heat and add ⅛ cup of bread crumbs. Let stand 10 minutes. If liquid is not all absorbed, add crumbs
until desired texture is reached. Pour
mixture into pastry shell and cover with top.
Make tiny slits in top crust.
Bake in 400° oven until
golden brown – approximately 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve hot.
