FETTUCINI
WITH GIGI SAUCE

Ingredients:
4 – 6 strips of
bacon
½ cup chopped onions
8 – 10 fresh
mushrooms, sliced
1 garlic clove,
minced
½ cup heavy cream
(35%)
1½ cups cooked
tomato sauce
2 lbs fettucini
pasta
Directions:
Cut bacon into 1" pieces. Place in a deep frying pan and cook until approximately ¾ done. Add onions, mushrooms and garlic. Sauté
until onions are tender and translucent.
Add cream and bring to a boil.
Add tomato sauce and reduce heat to low. Allow to simmer for 5 – 10 minutes or until sauce thickens
slightly. Add fettucini and mix
thoroughly. Serve
Note:
Although this recipe
calls for fettucini, this delicious sauce can be served with gnocchi,
tortellini, or ravioli.
