By TidalsharkKlage Kaebel had two goals and an assist to pace the Jacksonville Barracudas past the Miami Manatees, 5-3.Jacksonville took an early lead on a short-handed goal by Chris Hacket. Derek Toninato tallied his second of the year to extend to 2-0. Defenseman Jean-Francois Picard found the back of the net first for the Manatees late in the first, and Todd Nowicki tied the game just moments later. But Toninato answered back for this second of the night to give the Cudas a 3-2 lead into the locker room at the end of the first. Jacksonville held Miami to only one shot on goal in first 14 minutes of the play in the second. The Manatees, who were kept at bay by Jacksonville's checking, only managed 4 shots the entire period. A Barracuda's goal was waved of at 16:55 of the second as the net had come off its moorings prior to the puck crossing the line. That gave Miami the chance to tie the scoring in the third, which Kevin Swider did, just 1:56 after the start of the stanza. Kaebel then tallied two unanswered goals, including the game winner, to give the Cudas the lead for good. The Manatees were 0 for 5 on power-play conversions, while Jacksonville as 0 for 4. Miami managed only 23 shots on the goal the whole night, while Sean Weaver turned away 36 or 41 Jacksonville shots to suffer the lose in net, this second in regulation play. The Manatees, who have lost their last three after getting off to a 5-0-1 start travel to Orlando today to take on the Seals for a 6 PM game. The Manatees remain on the road to take on the Macon Trax on Thursday, December 12, before returning to the Miami Arena to host the Alabama Slammers for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday night.
