By Tidalshark The Loggerheads took an early lead with Paul Vincent (maybe...my chicken scratch looks like I wrote 41 but there is no 41 on their roster?), Chris Cerrella and Chris Migliore getting goals on Sean Weaver. The Manatees got their first goal with :15 seconds remaining on the clock in the first. Oak Hewar had two goals for the Manatee. Nick Smyth scored on a penalty shot for the 'Tees. Very sparse crowd. The Mats pulled more for their preseason game at Pines. (They also gave away a lot of tickets for that game.) Not dressed for the Manatees was Dmitri Doulebenets, Kevin Swider, and Tom Perry. The rosters were expanded for the preseason. In the regular season the team will be able to dress 14 skaters and two goalies. That means we have to lose four more players before next Saturday's home opener. Radio Show: Tune into the Morning Bullpen ever Thursday at 8:30 for the Manatees yet-to-be-named weekly show. The Morning Bullpen can be heard on Fox Sports 940 on your AM Dial. I asked Shawn about the discrepancy in the ticket pricing to which he said "Huh?" So evidently he's not even aware that they are putting out literature tonight with two different sets of prices on them. He said to remind him on Monday and he'd look into it. I won four tickets to the season opener. As I already have season tickets and extra free tickets to bring friends, I hadn't the slightest clue of what to do with four MORE tickets. So I swapped the prize out for the hockey stick signed by (some of) the Manatees that no one had claimed during the earlier drawing. Photos of the game will be up tomorrow (hopefully).
