CELEBRATION, Fla. � The World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) today released the WHA2 inaugural season schedule.

The season will open up on November 6th in Lakeland with the Loggerheads taking on the Macon Trax. The regular season will end on April 4th. Playoffs will begin the following week.

The Alabama Slammers will open at home on November 7th and play against the Jacksonville Barracudas. Both the Miami Manatees who will face the Macon Trax and the Orlando Seals who will take on the Loggerheads will have their home opener on November 8th.

The Macon Trax open at home on November 22nd and will face the Alabama Slammers.

The Jacksonville Barracudas will open their season at home at the brand new, state-of-the-art, 16,000-seat Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on November 28th. They will take on the Miami Manatees.

Other schedule highlights include two New Year�s Eve games, and the first WHA2 All-Star Game to be held in Jacksonville on January 27th.

All teams will play a 60 game schedule with 30 home games and 30 away games. All games will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.
