WHA2 announces IRN weekly radio show | ||
World Hockey Association 2 Press ReleaseCELEBRATION, Fla. � World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) today announced the launch of a new weekly internet broadcast show on IRN.FM called "This Week in the WHA2". The hour-long show will debut on Monday, September 8th in the 7pm to 8pm time slot on www.IRN.FM and will run every Monday night throughout the season."This weekly show will allow us to update WHA2 fans every Monday on all of the exciting things happening with their favorite team and with the league." WHA2 Co-founder and CEO David Waronker said. "We realize that hockey fans in our cities are starved for information in the off season." WHA2 Co-founder and President of Hockey Operations Peter Young said. "We wanted to offer them a place to go for that information. For the next six weeks, each show will highlight one of our WHA2 teams. And, once the season starts, this will be the definitive place for fans to get information on everything that�s new in the 2." WHA2 Director of Communications and Media Relations Monique Griffin will host "This Week in the WHA2". "�m thrilled to work with our internet broadcasting partner, IRN, and to have a venue to share all of the new and thrilling things that are happening in the WHA2." Griffin said. The WHA2 will ice six teams for the 2003 � 2004 season: the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, Miami Manatees, and Orlando Seals. Each team will play a 60 game schedule beginning on November 6th.
