World Hockey Association 2 Press ReleaseCELEBRATION, Fla. � The World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) wrapped up the Inaugural WHA2 All-Star Game and Festivities in Jacksonville today after a thrilling win by the WHA2 League All-Stars over the Jacksonville Barracudas by a score of 7 � 6 in overtime last night.WHA2 Co-Chairman of the Board and Olympic Gold Medalist Mike Eruzione dropped the ceremonial first puck, signed autographs for fans, and was a special guest on the IRN.FM broadcast during the second period. Macon Trax forward Steve Zoryk was named the MVP of the All-Star Game. Zoryk scored the first goal of the game and assisted on the game-winning goal by Miami Manatees forward Kevin Swider in overtime. Overall, Zoryk had two goals and three assists. �We were very happy with our first WHA2 All-Star Game. The fans seemed to enjoy the high scoring, fast action, and thrilling overtime play,� WHA2 Chairman of the Board David Waronker said. �We are looking forward to our second All-Star Game next year.� All WHA2 fans can own a piece of WHA2 history by bidding on the All-Star jerseys. The jersey has the autographs of the entire All-Star Team, the entire Jacksonville Barracudas team, and Co-Chairman of the WHA2 Board Mike Eruzione. The WHA2 has six member teams for the 2003 � 2004 season: the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, Miami Manatees, and Orlando Seals.
