Coach Boyer's Comments:

On the quality of play: "Today's scrimmage was definitely more organized. Tthe players took full advantage of having no red line, which was great to see because we worked on that in practice today. The tempo was great, the young guys played well, and we had a couple of fights which was good to see. I was happy with the performance today."

On having no red line: "There were a couple of goals actually that took advantage of this. Kiley's last goal came from an assist by Hewer that way. Hewer was coming in wide, he got poke-checked, lost the puck, bobbled it, got it back, and then threw it out to Kiley for the goal."

Looking at the assist Perry made, which came off of a great full-ice pass to Liebenow: "I talked to the forwards about darting into the holes and using the full ice to take advantage of having no red line. It was a great play to Liebenow who has great hands and great speed."

On players who stood out: "I thought Josh Liebenow played very well today. Dmitri Doulebenets stood out, and Simon Duplessis battled out there and mucked it up out. Matt Stack played great as well. He has great hands and was very shifty out there. He is a surprise to me."
