FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. � The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced Wednesday that the team has signed defenseman R.J. Roy. With the signing, the FireAntz roster now consists of 13 players.

Roy, a 5'10" 190 pound defenseman out of Ottawa, Ontario returns to the FireAntz after playing with the club last year. In 29 games he registered 18 points, netting 1 goal and 17 assists. He also had 49 penalty minutes.

"R.J. is coming back to Fayetteville with great enthusiasm," Head Coach Derek Booth said, "He expressed a desire to put up some good numbers, but more importantly to help the team win," Booth said.
