Seals' surge proves tough for Manatees | ||
Sun-Sentinel Staff ReportsThe Orlando Seals scored four unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the visiting Miami Manatees 6-2 on Saturday in WHA2 action.Miami's Ryan Kiley opened the scoring 1:58 into the first period, but Orlando scored the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead into the third period. Todd Nowicki beat Seals goalie David Goverde to tie the game, but Orlando's four-goal burst was too much for Miami. Miami goalie Sean Weaver is now 5-1-1. The Manatees are in first place in the WHA2 with 11 points.
