And though only one player from the Jacksonville Barracudas was selected for the team on Thursday -- defenseman Mike Johnson -- every Barracudas player will be participating. The game will pit the host Barracudas against the WHA2's All-Star team. "Because there is only six teams in the league and [because] we wanted to showcase the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, we thought if we did it with [Jacksonville] being a host team we could showcase the team and the arena," WHA spokesperson Monique Griffin said. "It also gives the Jacksonville fans a treat because they get to see all of their players." Johnson, who is tied for second in the league with 29 assists and 32 points, will play for the Barracudas and will be replaced on the All-Star team by Macon Trax defenseman Art Mnatsakanov. The starting lineup was determined by an online vote of fans. Orlando Seals goalie David Goverde received the most votes, 25 percent of all votes cast, and will start for the All-Star team. He will be joined in the starting lineup by two Seals teammates, defenseman Mark White and forward Brad Federenko. The rest of the team was selected by Seals coach Jim Paek and Manatees coach Zac Boyer. Paek, whose Seals had the league's best winning percentage at the cutoff date of Dec. 31, will coach the All-Star team. Boyer's team had the third best winning percentage, behind the Barracudas. But Boyer gets the nod over the Barracudas' Ron Duguay as All-Star assistant because of the format.
