From Herald Staff and Wire Reports The Alabama Slammers built a 2-0 advantage early and held on to beat the Miami Manatees 4-2 Friday night in Pelham, Ala. Josh Liebenow and Zdnek Vanc scored for Miami, which was playing with just 11 skaters. Mark Gowan made 35 saves in a losing effort. The Manatees face the Slammers again tonight before traveling to Jacksonville on Sunday to play the Barracudas.
