OAV Rune Venus was the first princess of the kingdom of Roshtaria.  She's very beautiful and serious for her kind.  She's the older sister of Fatora.  In the TV series, she's 17 years old.  She's much smaller, cuter, more fun and yet less mature than her OAV self.  Rune Venus's parents died when Rune was just a child and she had to raise Fatora and grew up by herself. OAV self, she's a quiet and emotional girl.  She tries not to let her emotions get in the way of her decisions.. She would let Fatora die instead of surrending to the kingdom.  She was rescued by Fujisawa and Makoto from the Bugrom.  She was vowed to wed Galus, when Nanami discovered his secret the wedding was cancelled and Rune was yet saved again.
