Chapter 6
When I woke up the next day I looked at my watch, it read 13:15. Wow I must have been rally tired to sleep till after 1:00. I got up and found I didn’t have as much trouble walking like last night but it still hurt to walk. I went in the living room where the TV was on and sat down to watch it for a while.
“Late last night two cars were involved in a collision that authorities are now still investigating. We still have no word on who was in the cars or how it happened since there were no eyewitnesses to the crash. When the police got to the accident both cars had caught on fire and it had looked like the one had exploded when the fire had reached the gas tank. Authorities fear that everyone in both cars are to be dead.” The news lady paused while she was handed a sheet of paper, she looked at it and continued. “The police have just released the makes of the cars that were involved in the crash. The one that the police say exploded was a Cutlass year or model unknown, and the other car was a Ford, year and model also unknown at this time.” After she had relayed that bit of information it was turned over to another news anchor and the news continued. I got up off of my chair and decided to go for a little walk out side to work out my knees so they would stop hurting so much. When I got out there Allaran was coming back from where ever he was at.
Allaran said to me, running up to me, I just grinned.
“Its afternoon now Allaran.” I said smiling. He nodded.
I nodded my head.
"Yep and our little crash is all over the news, they want to know who was in the cars." Allaran nodded,
"Ahh I see, well now they have said what cars was involved, and they want any one that knows who drives those kinds of cars to see if that person is home." I paused, "Marco knows my mom drives a Cutlass, he will probably call my house, or go to my house either way he will not find me there." Allaran nodded.
He asked me, I nodded.
“We left right after I got home.” I told him.
With that he started to change again but this time he was a male human.
"While I'm gone you can use the computer if ya want, the computer I have has Windows 95, and the Internet. Just watch what you say to others ok?" He told me when he had finished changing. He went into he cabin and came out with his outer clothing.
“Well, have fun ok.”
“I will try.” I said. Allaran headed towards town and I went back inside to play on the computer. I started it up and I saw the lovely Windows 95 start up screen, and after it loaded up, witch was a lot faster than my computer, I loaded up the Internet and created a new user. After I logged on to the Internet I got into all of the messengers and made new screen names there as well. It was the first step in creating my new life. After I was done with that I went into some chats and started to make new friends. I decided to turn on the TV to listen to the posts that the news would have on the crash last night at first it was just a TV show I didn’t know so I kept it on while I chatted. At 2:00 the news came back on and I told the people in the chat that I would be right back because I was watching the news and I told them about the crash that I had heard about. Most of the people in the chat room I knew but they didn’t know who it was, I used a fake name when talkin to them.
“Authorities have now identified the two people that were involved in last nights crash. The two people in the cutlass were Kathy and Heather Jansen; the police found some sort of evidence inside of the exploded car witch have not been released to us at this time. The driver of the Ford is still unknown.”
After I heard that I went back in the room and told every one there that I had just heard that my friend Heather had died in a car crash, and since there were people in there that knew me, most of the people started asking questions. How did she die? When did she die and so on. I answered the questions from what I had heard from the news, not saying any more.
After I got done answering questions I got out of the chat room and I added Marco’s email to one of my messengers; I thought that I would make something up so I can still talk to him. After I added him I got a message from him.
“Hum… who is this and do I know you??” He typed.
“No not really I am, or was a friend of Heather, she gave me your email two nights ago.” I typed to him.
“OH, ok. What do you mean, “was” did you two get in a fight??”
“You haven’t seen the news yet have you??”
“No why what happened?”
“Well… Heather and her mom were in an accent last night, they both died…” There was a silence for a little while then after 5 minutes Marco imed me back.
“I’m watching the news now… oh my god… yeah that looks like that could have been her car… what happened???!!!!”
“I don’t know, I only know what I saw on your local news… I have satellite… so I am able to watch your news… I don’t live in your town.”
“Oh, well how come she gave you my addy??”
“She kept talkin about ya and I wanted to meet you, she said she and you were good friends.”
“Yeah we were. Hey I got to get off ok, I got to call all of her friends and tell them what is going on… I’ll talk to you later, by the way what is your name??”
“Hope.”
“Nice name. Well I got to go I’ll talk to you laters Hope.” With that he signed off and right about that time Allaran came back in the cabin, so I signed off as well and looked at him.
"They told every one on the TV that my mom and I was in the one car," I told him.
“Yeah that wouldn’t be good.” I said.
With that Allaran went in the back room and when he came back he had a blue box. He held it out to me.
I put a hand on the cube then after a couple seconds I felt a tingling sensation and I brought my hand away.
“I bet. They have some pretty wild animals there.” I pointed out. We started to walk around to find a bird for me to acquire. That took a long time. We walked around pointlessly for about 4 hours then we finally found a Bald Eagle and Allaran carefully held it so I could acquire it.
“Okay. Remember all you have to do is touch the bird, then concentrate on it. The animal will go into a trance; during that trance you are acquiring the animal you are touching.” He reminded me. I put my hand on the bird and the Eagle went into the trance that most animals go into when you acquire it just like Allaran told me that would happen.
“Okay. Now what?” I asked when I was done acquiring the Eagle.
“Okay, now think about that animal, and you becoming him. You will feel the changes happen soon after you start thinking about the animal. If you brake your concentration the morphing will stop.” He told me then Allaran morphed back to his Andalite form, then to Bald Eagle. I took a deep breath and started to morph into the Eagle. I watched as my skin became etched with the outlining of the feathers then they became more 3D, and soon I began to shrink and my legs became more bird. I tried to tell him that this was really creepy but all that came out was a bunch of bird squawks.
He told me.
I asked in thought speak.
He told me. Soon I was done morphing and was fully a Bald Eagle.
I asked him after I completed morphing.
He told me, then spread his wings getting to fly.
He asked. In response to his question I spread my wings, and we left for the Gardens.
When we got there we landed inside the park and demorphed and Allaran morphed to human. There was no one there but I didn’t think he wanted to take any chances. Allaran and I went to the lion’s cages and got a morph so I could fight in and we went back home for the night.
