Chapter. 6
I only had to demorph once before I left the forest, that way I didn’t have to worry too much about the time limit. When I did get inside the city I found a phone and called the police department.
“Hello county police department. How may I help you.” The voice on the phone sounded like a female, kinda young.
“I think I can help you find out who was in one of the cars that were involved in the crash last night.” I told her. “One of my friend’s mother has a Cutlass. I called her house and I got no answer, I’m worried about them. She told me yesterday at school that she would be home, and we were goin’ to study together for a test.”
“Okay, what are the names of your friend and her mother and where do they live?” I gave her the information and she told me that she would have someone go and check out the house and see if there was anything she could do. She also asked me if I had a number that she could reach me at and I told her that I didn’t have a phone and that I was at a pay phone. She hung up after we was done talking and I headed back towards the forest and when I was far enough away from the city I demorphed and walked the rest of the way to the cabin.
It didn’t look like there was any one outside when I got back so I went inside and found Heather having fun on the computer. I came over to where she was sitting and she signed off the net.
"They told every one on the TV that my mom and I was in the one car,"
“Yeah that wouldn’t be good.” Heather said looking around. We were silent for a while, then I spoke up.
With that I went into the cabin and went to were I had hidden the morphing cube, got it and brought it out to where Heather was standing.
She put a hand on the cube then after a couple seconds she brought her hand away.
“I bet. They have some pretty wild animals there.” she pointed out. We started to walk around to find a bird for Heather to acquire. That took a long time. We walked around pointlessly for about 4 hours then we finally found a Bald Eagle and I carefully held it so she could acquire it.
“Okay. Remember all you have to do is touch the bird, then concentrate on it. The animal will go into a trance, during that trance you are acquiring the animal you are touching.” I reminded Her. Heather put her hand on the bird and the Eagle went into the trance that most animals go into when you acquire it.
“Okay. Now what?” Heather asked when she was done acquiring the Eagle.
“Okay, now think about that animal, and you becoming him. You will feel the changes happen soon after you start thinking about the animal. If you brake your concentration the morphing will stop.” I told her, then I morphed back to my Andalite form, then to Bald Eagle. It didn’t take me too long to morph to each animal, because I am a very good morpher, Heather took a deep breath and started to morph into the Eagle. I watched as her skin became etched with the outlining of the feathers then they became more 3D, and soon she began to shrink and her legs became more bird. About that time I heard some squawking.
I reminded her.
Heather asked me in thought speak.
I told her. Soon she was done morphing and was fully Bald Eagle.
she asked me after she completed her morph.
I told her, then spread my wings getting to fly.
I asked. In response to my question Heather spread her wings, and we left for the Gardens.
When we got there we landed inside the park and demorphed and I morphed to human. There was no one there but I didn’t want to take any chances. Heather and I went to the lion’s cages and got her a morph so she could fight in and we went back home for the night.
