THE POOL OF TRAINERS
of  Center for Management of Conflicts
Intro

Center for Management of Conflicts (CMC) operates as training center that provides specialized trainings on Peacebuilding topics for different organizations.
The approach and style of our workshops has contributed in changing the way of understanding the educational system in Macedonia and in the region of Balkans. We didnt face difficulties in introducing the new types and styles of education because of the fact that what we have provided until now is seen as acceptable, dynamic and interactive approach.

The situation on the ground

Having a background of socialist system of education and patriarchal behaviors, the children were not getting even the last word to address their issues and concerns. As they developed their personalities, the they were  having difficulties to deal with different personalities, authorities and older people. Knowing this and having a background of western style of education we wanted to contribute in to change this particular situation of education in Macedonia.  Luckily we did get support from many structures to do what we were planning although a lot remains to be changed in the direction of introducing Peacebuilding topics in curriculum of the schools and universities.

Yet no one can say that tolerance is something that is achieved in Macedeonia. Many things need to be done in order to have healthy inter-ethnick relations that will be sustainable and last forever. This will never be done with constant support of the ones that are promoting values of peace and tolerance.

Our clients

Most of the organizations that have showed interest for our type of trainings are in the field of Non governmental and non profitable organizations (NGOs), Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) and some private companies. These are our clients that trust us not just in providing quality training but also organizational abilities to set up very good conference. Some of them one could see in the biograffy of activities oc CMC as well as in the CVs of the trainers that are working for CMC.

Our pool of  trainers

In the pool of trainers CMC mobilizes trainers from different organizations and freelance ones specialized in Peacebuilding. We provide additional trainings for them and we build additionally their capacities in dealing with the topics that CMC is promoting.

Our poll of trainer currently  is composed of 8 experienced trainers on peacebuilding and 10 assistants facilitators that support the work of the core trainers. All of them are not constantly involved in CMC. They are all involved in et least one other NGO, but they are committed to develop CMC as the most famous training center that will provide trainings on Peacebuilding topics.

Please feel free to take a look at the profile of the trainers. Maybe you will find somebody that is from your interest.

Our partners

We are simply nothing without our friends that operate in the same area.  We learn from them not just by the fact that for us they represent a challenge that we want to overcome or simply become better, but also by the fact that achieving noble aim should not be obstacle to cooperate.  We could not do that if we are isolated in to our small micro circles. We invite others to come in to our workshops and we are feeling free to work for others.  This open door strategy has build network of human resources of trainers of peacebuilding that trust each other and help each other.

So, cooperating with partners from the same braches we feel free to address for help all other training centers that we know in Macedonia, region of Balkans and Europe. Our clients could freely count that CMC on help to use this network of trainers for their purposes.
Many organizations combine noble peacebuilding with practical life skills topics. For this purpose CMC  has build a database of trainers from different fields. Most of them are the ones that we have worked with and we could count and trust when invite to co-facilitate.

Our challenge:

Except our biggest challenge to develop CMC as the most famous training center that will provide trainings on Peacebuilding topics, we are willing to break down the barriers in entering in to the public and business sector. With public secdtor we mean the state structure including the administration, and with business sector we mean all private companies that are composed of multiethnic staff members and that show interest in providing healthy interethnic relations inside their company.  Unfortunately yet they do not understand the importance of having good interethnic relations in administration that is growing rapidly and it is mixing necessarily because of the Ohrid framework agreement. The same is valid for the business sector. They also yet do not understand that equal representation and healthy interethnic relations are jus prerequisite for bigger profit for them.
