FORGIVENESS
Isaiah 1:18
1. Forgiveness brings relationship- Luke 7:36-50
When we hold unforgiveness toward another we are unable
to have a healthy relationship with that person or with God.
But when we decide we will be obedient to God in forgiving
those who injure us physically, emotionally, or spiritually,
we open the door for relationship. Often the offending party
doesnot understand the effects their action had on you and
communication is necessary for both of you to learn and grow.
2. Paul�s conversion--although he was forgiven, his past not
counted against him, he had to reap from what he had sown. Acts 9--
3. Luke 23:34
Look at things in context--forgive and don�t be anxious to be offended.
4. John 8:3-7
Don�t think yourself more righteous than you are--we are all sinners.
5. Mark 11:25
If we hold unforgiveness toward others then God can�t forgive us.
6. Matt 18:21-22
.. Don�t keep track of offenses--you can forgive but not trust.
7. Lev. 19-18
It is not our job to get even.
