The sun rises and the lovers awaken…
Warm, tranquil winds, soothing them,
Gently blowing through their hair,
As if Heaven’s very breath.
Trees gently swaying to and fro,
Air infused by tropical aromas.
Soft, feathery clouds, filling the sky,
Delicately veiling the glowing sun,
As if Heaven’s tender shield.
Embracing beneath their shelter,
Sweet, tender kisses, adoringly savoring.
Passionate longings…cravings…
The lovers emerge, walking hand in hand…
Exploring the sparkling, white beach,
Frolicking in the cool, turquoise water…
Basking in the warm, dazzling sun,
Delighting in the abundance of sweet, succulent fruits.
Alone…confined to their oasis…
Experiencing each day anew,
Stranded…yet pleasantly content…
The sun sets and the lovers retreat…
Cool, gusting breezes, revitalizing them,
Eagerly chilling their skin,
As if Heaven’s heavy panting.
Nature’s sounds, alive with the night,
Fire burning, emanating warmth.
Dark, starry sky, illuminating them,
Delicately lighting their surroundings,
As if Heaven’s blazing candles.
Gazing into each other’s eyes,
Deep, sensual, kisses, hungrily tasting.
Lustful desires…needs…
The lovers retire, lying face to face…
Discovering every quivering inch of each other,
Feasting upon their love and passion…
Indulging in the erotic wandering of their kisses,
Reveling in their cries of ecstasy.
Alone…forbidden to humanity…
Cherishing each moment enduring,
Abandoned…yet immortally blissful.

The idea for this poem actually came to me, indirectly, from a good friend of mine. They mentioned something about being on a deserted island...and my thoughts just kind of flowed from there. It's mainly a tribute to finding that perfect mate...the undying, never failing love that endures now and through eternity.
