Uncertainty invades you and impairs your every thought,
Lurking about your psyche, searching for doubt to find.
Clarity innately yours, wishes you once sought,
Seem to fade, while insecurity inhabits the confines of your mind.
Helplessness seizes you and hinders your every desire,
Feeding on your sensitivity, altering your disposition anew.
Strength evidently prominent, all that you would aspire,
Slowly diminish, as weakness initiates its control over you.
Despair grips you and infects your every emotion,
Tainting your mind, agonizing your delicate heart.
Hope fervently present, choices once without complication,
Swiftly become impossible, whilst affliction rips you apart.
Fear confines you and dominates your every chore,
Slaying your will, spawning chaos and strife.
Courage seemingly eternal, confidence as your core,
Inevitably departing, as apprehension controls your life.
Confusion lingersyet you toil onward

Anyone who knows me well enough understands that there are two things that I have difficulty dealing with ~ loneliness and confusion. Loneliness, well simply because I am a hopeless romantic...and most of us thrive and are much happier when we have someone to expend our energy and love upon.
Yet with confusion...it is a very difficult emotion for me to deal with. I like to be able to have control over my emotions and feelings...but when confusion comes into play, control goes out the window. This poem describes exactly how I feel, whenever I stumble onto a point in my life, where I do not know what is happening around me, what to feel, think, or what to do.
This poem is soon to be published by the International Library of Poetry, in their annual poetry edition. I will post more details on when the book is being released, and ordering information, should any of you like to have a copy of it. I still get tears in my eyes, when I say to myself, "Bela ~ you're going to be a published poet!!!"
