Mermaid Sanctuary
Established 1847       Prop: Ms A Siren
Pretty How Town has a proud and long tradition of tolerance and welcoming others to join its community. Mermaids have a difficult enough life and when they reach a certain age they need to be cared for in an understanding environment.

Our Sanctuary is conveniently located for the open air swimming pool and has its own lift to the beach.  All rooms are specially adapted to suit the differentially abled and accommodate all models of wheelchair.  Every room has sea views and en-suite pool facilities.

Why not visit us? Each Friday our residents have a sing along and you are welcome to join us for tea and cakes.

Ms Siren also writes for Hi! Magazine
Some people have funny ideas about mermaids. We've got ASBOs and Restraining Orders on them. Named and shamed.
Ms Ariel Siren
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think that they will sing to me.

I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.
