The waterfall is one of the forest's most beautiful sights. The rushing waters tend to silence the rest of the world while the wildlife which is common in this area eliminates the taluna's keen sensing abilities. As a result this area lies as one of the taluna's most vulnerable locales.

Animals which would be found near or in
the rivers of the Schendi Rain Forest and that can be incorporated to this page
in role-play are the following:
Fleer, hook-billed: inhabits the emergent level of the rainforest; nocturnal
Ivory-billed woodpecker: bird found in the lower canopies of the rainforests near Schendi.
Jard: a small, yellow-winged scavenger bird of the rainforest inland of Schendi
Jit Monkey: a simian mammal which inhabits the rainforests inland of Schendi
Ul: the predatory Ul, a winged lizard with wing-spans of several feet.
Vart, Jungle: relative of the northern vart, it inhabits the rainforests inland of Schendi
Bint: small carnivorous freshwater fish which inhabits the rivers of the
rainforests inland of Schendi; a large school of bints can strip a carcass in
minutes similar to the piranha of Earth.
Gint: freshwater fish which inhabits the rivers of the rainforests inland
of Schendi. It has bulbous eyes and flipper-like fins and is amphibious, having
both lungs and gills; is capable of walking on its pectoral fins. It is often
found in the company of tharlarion, feeding off the scraps of their kills. Known
to emerge and walk on land to hunt its prey.
Hith: huge python-like snake.
Leech, marsh: about four inches long; described as rubbery about 4 inches long; it attaches itself to plants in the marsh or float free in the water, waiting for warm blooded animals. They fasten themselves to their victim to suck blood until, satiated, they detach. They can be removed with fire or salt. They are edible.
Mamba: large, predatory river tharlarion which inhabits the rivers of the rainforests inland of Schendi; they have long, log-like bodies, with short, powerful legs and a long snout and tail; similar to Earth crocodiles.
Remora fish: similar relationship
to the river shark, a narrow, black, vicious, carnivorous fish with a triangular
dorsal fin, which inhabits the rivers of Gor.

Wader, ring-necked: variety of water bird

the rainforests inland of Schendi
Zeder: small, sleen-like, carnivorous mammal which inhabits the
rainforests inland of Schendi, esp. along the Ua River; grows to c. 2' and
weighs 8-10 lbs; is diurnal, can swim very well, & builds a stick-&-mud
nest in the branches of a tree, where it spends the night
Plants which would be found near or in the
rivers of the Schendi Rain Forest and that can be incorporated to this page in
role-play are the following:
Carpet plant:
rainforest plant from area inland of Schendi; has tendrils that are used to bind
a bandaged wound.
Leech plant: plant with bladder like seed pods; can fasten two hollow fanglike thorns into its victim through which it can suck the blood that nourishes it; a chemical response of the pods cause a mechanical pumping action which gives them an eerie resemblance to contracting and expanding lungs.
Liana vine: rainforest plant which
can be used as a source of drinking water
