After Kate returned from Germany we decided to take a backpack trip to the Weminuche Wilderness.  The drive was much longer than we expected, and we ended up hiking about 24 miles extra from the Purgatory ski area so that we could avoid paying the $60 each for the train.  I thought the train had to be the most ridiculous thing I had ever seen cruising along the Animas River,  and it made me laugh every time it passed.
