| Originally founded in 2001 ,Mambajamba is no stranger to the music scene. It's members consist of artists that have all worked in previous popular working bands from around the mid-west. Former bands include... Bonedance,BadBoogie,Deadweight,Planet Zuppa, and The Fancy Lizards. The band is currently working on their debut album due to be released in 2002. You can listen to live versions of a couple of our originals on the music page. They're in Real Audio format, so you'll need the Real Player to listen. In addition to their own unique original stylings,Mambajamba also play several tunes from bands that have inspired them musically,mentally, and spiritually. Artists include The Beatles,James Brown, Grateful Dead,T-Rex, Widespread Panic,Talking Heads, Allman Bros,Bob Dylan and Bob Marley, to name just a few. With such an eclectic blend of styles such as Improvsational Rock, Folk,Pop, Reggae,Zydeco,and funk mixed with Latin/Afro grooves,Mambajamba is always bound to please a wide audience where ever they perform. This 5 member group consists of : Dave ("all the rave") Martin Lead Vocal, Guitar Tommy ("can you hear me?")Kiefaber, Lead Guitar, Vocal Kevin ("Paco") Higgins Bass, Steve ("uh... yesss") Krietzer Drums,Vocal,? Daniel ("Chicken") Davis Lead Vocal, Percussion, Assorted Noise Makers Dave,Steve,and Daniel are all former members of Deadweight,and with Kevin as Bonedance. Both bands have been regular members of Indiana's Sick-O-Fest and have opened for such acts as David Nelson Band, Merl Saunders,and Leftover Salmon to name a few. Tom Keifaber the bands Lead Guitarist is a former member of Fancy Lizards,and Bad Boogie from Indianapolis IN. They extensively played the mid-west for years establishing a reputable following in major cities where they performed. Tom has also been graced with a chance to play live at Deercreek with the Allman Brothers as a guest ,with his father Tom Kiefaber Sr. His dad used to play with Dickie Bettes as the Joker Band prior to his Allman Brother days.
