Triple Dipped Treats
4 - 5  medium apples (washed & dried)
4 - 5 wooden sticks
1 package caramels, unwrapped
2 tbs water
1 1/2 cups walnuts
2 packages (4 ounces each) Baker's German's Sweet chocolate
2 tsp margarine or shortening

Insert sticks into stem end of each apple. Microwave caramels and water in a small deep bowl on high 2 - 3 minutes or until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth, stirring every minute. Dip apples in hot caramel; turn until well coated. Scrape excess from bottom of apples. Roll bottom half in walnuts. Place on greased tray. Refrigerate 15 minutes. Microwave chocolate and margarine in deep bowl on high 2 - 3 minutes or until chocolate is almost melted, stiring halfway through heating time. Stir until chocolate is melted. Drizzle apples with chocolate. Let stand until chocolate is firmed. Substitute 20 pretzel logs for apples. Dip each pretzel halfway into coatings. Roll in walnuts. For gift giving, wrap in cellophane and tie with ribbon.
