| A History... I originated as a Valentine's Day gift for my mommy from her long term boyfriend... Lucky for me, when he gave me to her, he said, "if we ever break up, you can keep the dog!" Though that was three years and a broken marriage later, she stayed tough and persevered, even though he (of course) tried to take me back. Who wouldn't want a little fellow like me running around! Anyways, the first couple of years of my life were pretty rough, livin' with my daddy and all. I had a very difficult time getting the whole housetraining thing down, and if you don't keep a close eye on me, I still might decide to jump up in your lap and pee to get your attention. In fact, the first time I visited Mom at her school, I walked straight up into her RA's room and pooped in the middle of her floor! I know how to make a good impression. So, I hung out with both my parents until they finally decided to split up and go their separate ways. I was a little sad to leave my home and backyard, complete with my own crooked dog trail right down the middle that I had been working own for so long, but then I got to move in with my MeeMaw. Mom says that was the beginning of the end, but I don't know what she's talking about 'cause MeeMaw is always giving me good things to eat and letting me jump all over the furniture and bark all the time. Barking is something Daddy wouldn't let me do, but MeeMaw says it's the sign of a happy dog... boy, am I happy now! While Mom was in Europe, I moved to Bowling Green to live with my Auntie Monica and her roommate Nicole in the 'Mexican Hut.' I had a great time running down the street without my leash on and peeing in Nicole's bed. I know Mom was worried that I'd forget about her while she was gone, but I still love her and gave her a great welcome when she got home. Unfortunately, she's running off for her second semester, even though she promised she was gonna take me with her, but MeeMaw put her foot down and I will be staying in Winchester with MeeMaw, Mr. Stan, and my uncle Oscar. Until then, I will be making the best of the time and making sure she misses me a whole bunch while she is gone! |
